What clients have to say
Modalities
-
Gestalt Therapy is a holistic approach, which focuses upon your experience in the present moment.
The goal is for you to enhance your AWARENESS of what you are doing and how you are doing it. It is through this awareness that CHANGE can occur.
Awareness will be focused on the client’s internal bodily, emotional and personal needs and desires. Through this process, you gain a new sense of Self.
Change through Gestalt Therapy occurs with self-recognition, self-acceptance, owning and healthy interpersonal contact between the person and their environment.
In Gestalt Therapy there is a strong emphasis on self-fulfilment and the development of authenticity and self-responsibility.
Through Gestalt therapy, you learn to discover feelings that may have been suppressed or masked by other feelings and to accept and trust your emotions.
Ultimately, Gestalt Therapy helps people gain a better understanding of how their emotional and physical needs are connected.
-
Somatic therapy is a therapy that focuses on the connection between the MIND and BODY to address mental and emotional health issues, especially trauma.
Somatic therapy uses body-centered techniques to help clients become aware of their bodily sensations, release tension and stress, and process emotions that are stuck in the body.
Emotions manifest physically in the body. Exploring bodily sensations and how they relate to their emotional state, people build emotional resilience.
